Mud

An exhibition of works by Kirsty Shadiac

OPENING 11 FEBRUARY, 5.30PM AT THE SCH, Artist Kirsty Shadiac is displaying her collection artworks titled “MUD” at the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.

“MUD” is a collection illustrative works inspired by children’s natural instincts to play; whether

in the mud, with paint, toy trucks, a new ballet skirt, or insects from the garden!

Kirsty Shadiac spent 2008 & 2009 working with the Play Therapy Department in the oncology ward at the Sydney Children’s Hospital, brightening their days with paintings on windows, drawings for their walls, and getting laughs from caricatured portraits.

Kirsty is passionate about working with kids, encouraging creative minds, and she has run kids art classes in

Paddington since 2007.

In 2009, through the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Kirsty was also commissioned to produce and direct the creation of a 9x5 meter underwater mural at the Prince of Wales Hospital.
