The Tom and Lister Cup for Historical Research

To help restore the reputation of John Lister & William Tom the Museum is conducting a school project as part of their Goldrush -the real Story event to be held in November.

The Tom and Lister Cup for Historical Research

This cup will be awarded to a Stage 3 student from local schools for an individual history report.

The topic for 2010 is: Gold Rush – the real story

Prizes: 1st : $50 for the student, the Cup and $200 for the school library

2nd: $25 and $100 for the school library

3rd: $20

All entrants will receive a certificate.

The report is to be presented on 1 x A3 or 2x A4 pages and may be printed or handwritten. Hand drawn maps, pictures or diagrams should be included.

A number of references should be used and noted on the entry form.

The entry form and declaration must accompany the entry to reach the Golden Memories Museum, Park St, Millthorpe (P.O. Box 27, Millthorpe) by the last day of Term 3.

All entries will be displayed at the Golden Memories Museum over the Gold Rush weekend, November 13 & 14. The winners will be announced at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 13.
