CAN launches its own YouTube channel

collectionsaustralia is CAN's new YouTube channel. It is a place where we will be posting video interviews with our Partners about how to use CAN to its full potential. Soon we will be inviting our Partners to upload their own videos promoting their collections.

The first four interviews are with:

1) Christine Yeats, public affairs manager State Records NSW, sees the aggregated collections search as a way of bringing documents and archives to life when alongside objects from other institutions.

2) Julie Baird, curator of the Newcastle Regional Museum, talks about how collections online facilitate loans and build on the profile of the museum.

3) Zachary Lambert, online artefacts special project heritage officer for the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority uses CAN as a resource that answers initial collection enquiries.

4) Gemma Beswick and Luke Carter from the Hurstville City Library, Museum and Gallery talk about how uploading part of their collection has propelled the small organisation into becoming an important online resource for curators, students and researchers.
