Pinjarra Festival 2012

Pinjarra Festival, Pinjarra WA

The annual Pinjarra Festival 2012, presented by the Shire of Murray, held 2 and 3 June, 2012, at Edenvale Heritage Precint in Pinjarra, WA.

The annual Pinjarra Festival was held on 2nd and 3rd June, 2012, at the Edenvale Heritage Precinct in Pinjarra. The Roger May Machinery Museum was part of the event, with exhibitions and demonstrations of engines from earlier times. Included in the exhibition was Barney the horse, a new addition to the collection. Barney was hitched up to the buggy which was used by the McLarty family when Edenvale was part of their farm. He showed off horse equipage admirably. Tractors were a great favourite with the children whose imaginations took flight while sitting in front of the wheel. Among newly restored items were the H V McKay Sunshine seeder, an old New Star mangle which had been in the same family since the mid 1800's. The Festival is a popular event on the calendar for many people.
