Joskeleigh South Sea Islander Museum
This museum - established in 2001 - celebrates South Sea Islander contributions to Queensland, including in the sugar industry at Farnborough (from 1885). It's located in Joskeleigh (near Keppel Sands). It is housed in the building that was once the school teacher's residence adjacent to the old school. Now known as the Joskeleigh South Sea Islander Museum, it is the only known museum of this type Queensland.
A series of research publications, produced in cooperation with the Livingstone Shire Council, and a travelling photographic exhibition supplement the museum's artefacts.
