Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery - Community History Centre

The Community History Collection is a department of the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. It is located upstairs at the QVMAG, Inveresk site (former Launceston Railyards).

The Community History Collection consists of photographs, oral history tape recordings, primary and secondary documents (including local government, business, community organisations and personal records), as they relate to Tasmanian history, with an emphasis on the cultural and social history of northern Tasmania. There are printed guides of many parts of the Collection. All primary material (original documents or photos) is available with at least 24 hours notice prior to your visit.
