Francis Burt Law Museum

Situated in the centre of Perth, the Francis Burt Law Museum is housed in the Old Court House, Perth's oldest remaining public building opened in 1837. It is the only Law Museum in Australia and one of very few law museums worldwide.


The Museum Collection consists of: the beautiful Old Court House built in 1836; legal documents and other documents and archives related to the administration of justice in Western Australia; personal documents and objects including photographs, oral histories, mementos and items of apparel) directly associated with members of the legal profession and judiciary; objects (documents, models, furniture and furnishings) related to the Old Court House, the building, associated structures and equipment..
