Greenough Pioneer Museum
The Greenough Pioneer Museum is located just off the Brand Highway 19km south of Geraldton (or 4.5km north of the Central Greenough Historic Settlement). The Greenough Pioneer Museum was established by the Geraldton Historical Society in 1966 and is the oldest museum in the Midwest region of WA. The museum is housed in the beautiful two-storey Home Cottage that was built between 1862 and 1880 for the Maley family.
Ten rooms recreate the original atmosphere of the Maley homestead. The museum also houses original photographs and archives relating to the history of the Front Greenough Flats. Of special interest is the lace collection, nickelodeon and camel waggon.
