Golf Australia is the national organisation overseeing golf in Australia. It was formed in 2006 through the merger of the Australian Golf Union and Women's Golf Australia.
The Golf Society of Australia, formed in 1982 to research and preserve the history of golf in Australia, manages the collection on behalf of Golf Australia.
The Golf Australia collection includes Australian golfing artefacts, memorabilia and a library. The majority of the collection is in storage but access to select items can be arranged by appointment.
There are two displays open to the public:
Golf at the National Sports Museum at the MCG, Melbourne, and
The Clubhouse - Moonah Links on the Mornington Peninsula
