Western Australia's Heritage Tramway

The Museum aims to show the development of electric street transport, and its place in Western Australian history. It has a collection of preserved tramcars and trolleybuses from Western Australia (Perth, Fremantle and Kalgoorlie) and other places. Some tramcars are operational, others are undergoing or awaiting restoration. The tramcars are operated in Whiteman Park as The Whiteman Tram - a living museum, recreating the sights, sounds and experiences of the tramway era. Historical vehicles, and restoration and maintenance activities, can be viewed in the Carbarn, by arrangement. The Society also collects and preserves information and artefacts relating to tramway operations.
